Warm a small amount

Warm a pea-sized amount between clean fingertips.
Press and smooth

Apply to clean, toned skin, focusing on the T-zone or smoothing over face, neck and shine-prone body areas.
Let it settle

Allow 2–3 minutes to absorb before outdoor protection or makeup. Blot first, then tap on a tiny amount for midday touch-ups.

Honey Girl MATTER REVISED updated review

Yesterday, I wrote a review stating that I wanted to love this product as I have been looking for skin care with minimal clean all organic ingredients. Having very oily skin, I chose this because it said "MATTE" and shine control. When I put it on yesterday for the 1st time as thin and sheer as possible I wrote that it looked like my face had been shellacked or covered in oil - very shinny and greasy; that I patted excess off and it remained greasy looking, which is why I wrote a 2 star unfavorable review. Not wanting to go back to my chemical laden face moisturizer - even though I have super oily skin, I have to put something on, as my skin is so tight looking after I use an ultra sensitive facial wash that oil can not get out resulting in break outs - So I tried HGM again. I also tried again because even though I looked like an oil slick, my skin looked AMAZING, like better than EVER before, so clean, even toned, healthy and even bright!! So, I washed, put HGM on ultra thin, let it sit for 20 minutes and began patting off ALL excess, not just some, but ALL of it with toilet paper so that just the barest film of it remained. Well, I have to CHANGE my review because while it did NOT look MATTE AT ALL, the skin has just the right amount of healthy subtle sheen and weird to say as a guy, but there's sort of like a light or radiant quality to my skin...and I was like damn, this is REALLY good...it looks natural, clean, healthy and glowing but not greasy - like I have NOTHING on which I really LIKE!! STILL it does NOT look MATTE!! So why they advertise it that way makes NO sense. BUT the skin looks better than it EVER has in my life. I'm going to hold off with 5 stars until 2 weeks pass to see if I stay reaction free. If in 2 weeks it is still this good, I'll change to 5 stars. Fingers crossed and hopefully I've finally found an all organic product that works...4 the moment YES IT DOES! James San Diego Calif

MATTE moisturizer

It is very greasy and isn’t matte at all. I have to wipe most of it off with a tissue after I put it on.

Great product, unpleasant scent

I love the product itself—a tiny bit goes a long way! I live in a very dry climate, and I feel like this keeps my skin hydrated and looking and feeling healthy. It feels oily on my fingers, but is not oily once applied—I use this on my face. However, the product has a very unpleasant smell. It might be the shea butter, but it almost smells spoiled. I probably won’t purchase again for that reason even though I like the product itself.
