Non-Nano Zinc Oxide (20%)
Zinc oxide is made from zinc, a type of metallic element found in nature. It has been used for centuries, first described in ancient Indian medicinal scripts around the year 500 B.C., it was used for burns and wounds. It provides broad-spectrum sun protection that prevents burns and aiding in their recovery. Zinc oxide helps to lower skin inflammation associated with rashes, allergies, irritation and acne. It improves construction of collagen and forming of new connective tissues, preventing aging of skin and locking in moisture.
Organic Raspberry Seed Oil
Raspberry seed oil is high in vitamin A and E, as well as oleic, alpha linolenic and linoleic acids, all which help to protect and moisturize the skin. A study done by Elsevier in 2000 showed that red raspberry seed oil has UV protection and can shield against UVA- induced damage by scattering as well as absorption. It also contains carotenoids which are strong antioxidant’s that inhibit UV damage and stimulate cell repair. Being high in Omega 9 and Omega 6, these essential fatty acids help to protect the skin from the sun, reduce inflammation, deeply moisturizes, and help skin cells to regenerate.
Wildcrafted Carrot Seed Oil
Carrot seed oil is high in vitamin A, K and C as well as Beta-carotene- a powerful antioxidant; making it a naturally anti-aging and helping to protect your skin from environmental factors. Since it contains vitamin E and C it is moisturizing and rejuvenating; promoting firm, toned skin. It balances oil production and provides enough moisture without clogging pores.
Organic Beeswax
is a nutrient-rich substance secreted by bees in order to make honeycomb. A recent study found that unfiltered beeswax contains 300 micronutrients. We include it in our formulations to soften and hydrate the skin while creating a long-lasting protective coating against the elements.
Beeswax contains wax esters that also exist in human skin. It is a natural hydrating agent that increases essential moisture in the skin. Beeswax has a very low irritation potential, is an antiseptic and promotes healing and softening of the skin. Shea butter is a skin superfood that comes from the seeds of the fruit of the Shea (Karite) tree. Being naturally rich in vitamins A, E and F, these components keep the skin in optimal health and protect from UV radiation. Since it contains concentrated natural vitamins and fatty acids it is nourishing and moisturizing for skin. Shea butter consists of oleic, stearic, palmitic and linolenic acids that protect and nourish the skin, preventing drying while boosting the skin’s natural collagen production. It also has anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, and antioxidants properties, these can help reduce inflammatory skin diseases and skin damage caused by free radicals.
