Her Journey + Skincare Philosophy

Honey Girl: Can you share a little about your journey into being an esthetician and what you love most about your work?

Amy: I went to cosmetology school right after high school, and I've worked in the beauty industry for over 20 years. I struggled with severe cystic acne in my early 20s, and it really affected my self-esteem. After going through that and healing my skin, I realized how much of an impact your skin health has on your self-worth and self-esteem. I love educating clients on skin health and the importance of skin care because I really knew nothing about it until I struggled with it myself. I absolutely love making women not only feel beautiful, but also truly believe that they are beautiful. It is so rewarding, and I love building long-lasting relationships with my clients.

Honey Girl: How would you describe your overall skincare philosophy?

Amy: I believe that skin care is not one size fits all, and that everyone's skin is just as unique as each individual person. I believe in customizing skin care for each individual based on their skin type, goals, and concerns.

Honey Girl: What does healthy, glowing skin mean to you?

Amy: Healthy, glowing skin, to me, is skin that is nourished, hydrated, and cared for from the inside out. I believe our overall wellness directly reflects in our skin, which is why I'm such a believer in consistency, hydration, and using quality ingredients. Glowing skin isn't about being perfect — it's about healthy, radiant skin that makes you feel confident and comfortable in your own skin.

Honey Girl: Do you remember the first time you tried Honey Girl Organics? 

Amy: I first tried Honey Girl Organics when I was pregnant with my first daughter four years ago. Honey Girl: What does your personal skincare routine look like right now?

Her Advice for Your Skin

Honey Girl: What's one small change people can make that has a big impact on their skin?

Honey Girl: What do you wish more people knew about caring for their skin?

Amy: It's never too late to start taking care of your skin! Even if you did not take good care of your skin when you were younger, you can still make huge improvements by incorporating high-quality skincare and staying consistent. Consistency is key! Getting facials is so beneficial to your skin health, but what you do at home is actually more important!
