~Rose Oil~Fall in love with this potent ingredient for enhanced skin health + a deep connection to YOUR heart

Rose is often conjured up in our mind's eye as the crimson-colored bouquet you give to your lover, it is a delicate flower we put into vases and cherish for days as we get to watch the rich red petals flourish until they begin to softly fade away.

However, when speaking about roses, as one of our most beloved ingredients here at Honey Girl Organics, it is valuable to know that rose oil (Rosa Damascena Flower Oil) when used topically on our skin not only has a medicinal value for enhancing our appearance but also has strong ties to deepening our relationship to our hearts.

This makes our rose oil the star ingredient to highlight for the celebration of love and beauty this Valentine’s Day.
Rose oil is known as a healer, in physical, emotional, and spiritual ways. This highly sought-after ingredient is created by using hundreds of pounds of rose petals to produce the liquid gold we call rose oil. It has been used for thousands of years in Ayurvedic medicine to modern-day skincare enthusiasts to healing via the modality of aromatherapy.
.
The therapeutic benefits include, and are not limited to:
  • Hydrating the skin on a cellar level
  • Having strong antioxidant effects
  • Exhibiting anti-inflammatory properties, particularly skin inflammation
  • Being cultivated for the antibacterial effects
  • The power to uplift your mood and nurture your heart (yes, even through a skincare-based product!)
  • Reducing stress and anxiety
  • Spiritually, it is linked to the heart chakra, this potent oil has been widely used in aromatherapy to induce feelings of love, compassion, and a deeper connection to one’s self
It is not hard to see why rose oil has been branded throughout history and by many cultures as being the healer of the body, mind, and spirit.
What makes our rose oil so mesmerizing is the kind of rose oil we carefully and purposefully pick for our skincare products.
In our Rose Crème, the most powerful ingredient is our Organic Bulgarian Rose Oil. This noting of organic and the specific type of rose oil is extremely important when selecting what products to put onto your very absorbent skin.
First, non-organic roses are typically sprayed with toxic pesticides and fertilizers, therefore these harmful ingredients can become part of your skincare regimen if you are not selecting products that explicitly state they are using organic roses.
Second, the reason we hand-selected with precision the Organic Bulgarian Rose Oil, is that it is the preferred variety, and because it is the most fragrant species of rose oil available and has the highest oil content.
.
Rose oil is hard not to fall in love with, from its ability to moisturize the skin on a deeply therapeutic level, from properties such as citral – a plant compound that has extraordinary anti-inflammatory abilities, to eugenol – widely known as one of the richest antioxidants derived from plants, we see why it has been used in formulas for centuries and highly sought after by skincare lovers across the globe. Rose oil also aids in maintaining the elasticity of the skin, which helps prevent wrinkles and reduce fine lines. Our rose oil-infused products have also been known to specifically aid those who suffer from skin conditions such as eczema acne, and psoriasis.

As we laser focus on rose oil for this Valentine’s Day, we cannot skip the reasons even Cupid gives our star ingredient his heart-eye approval, and that is the strong ties rose oil has to the energetic heart.
.
When we think of Valentine’s Day, we think of love, intimacy, and desire. These themes are directly associated with the therapeutic use of rose oil. This oil has been referred to as an aphrodisiac oil. By its unique benefits of reducing stress and relieving anxiety, this particular effect helps to specifically increase sexual energy and is linked to the opening of your heart.
.
...but HOW can skincare open your heart?
In the spiritual sense, rose oil is associated with the heart chakra, and this chakra is linked to feeling love, having compassion, and being energetically more open and receptive to energy. From century traditions of working with roses to ‘open the heart’ to modern-day research backing up this claim and stating that rose oil sits at a frequency of 320 MHz - the highest frequency therapeutic oil is recorded to have. This means that the use, application, and aromatherapy benefits of using rose oil-infused skincare can help to raise your frequency and enhance feelings of love for yourself and the world around you.

This month we urge you to quite literally stop and smell the roses!
Rose oil has the magical ability to not only enhance you from a spiritual aspect, but incorporating this coveted ingredient into your daily skincare will have profound effects on your self-care routine, the health of your skin, and provide deep nourishment on a cellar level!
