Many customers adore our Rose Crème, but are surprised that its scent leans more “nutty/earthy” than floral. This is because certified organic virgin argan oil has a naturally occurring potent aroma that masks the more delicate scents of the rose, sweet orange and neroli oils.
After careful testing and consideration, we've updated our formula to use certified organic virgin deodorized argan oil, which allows the delicate scent of roses to come forward, as expected from our Rose Creme. The updated oil allows the Rose to shine while keeping all the amazing, skin-loving benefits of the original formula present.
Why We Updated the Scent
Our original Rose Crème used organic virgin argan oil, prized for its skin comfort but also known for having a naturally nutty, earthy aroma that can dominate delicate florals.
While the formula performed beautifully, some customers wanted a rosier scent given the name and rose-gold jar. To align experience with expectations, we're now using certified organic virgin deodorized argan oil.
The result? The same rich, cushiony feel with a cleaner, rose-forward bouquet.
What Is “Deodorized Virgin Organic” Argan Oil?
Deodorized virgin organic argan oil is a USDA organic argan oil that undergoes a gentle deodorization step (via steam or filtration with natural substances) that reduces the nutty scent while preserving the naturally occurring vitamins, fatty acids, and antioxidants that provide the amazing benefits to your skin. It's a natural process, free of synthetics or fragrances which allows the oil to remain USDA Organic-compliant .

- What you’ll notice: The cream is a more neutral base that allows the botanical notes of rose, sweet orange, neroli, marula, prickly pear, along with our other ingredients, to shine.

- 1–2×/week: Reset texture gently with the Rejuvenating Mask, then follow with Rose Crème.
