Happy Spring Equinox

Happy Spring Equinox

Today is officially the first day of SPRING!

What does this actually mean? Today both the northern and southern hemispheres will experience an equal amount of daylight. For those of us in the northern hemisphere, it marks the beginning of spring, with daylight hours continuing to lengthen until the summer solstice in June. For those south of the equator, it’s the beginning of autumn. The equinox occurs when the sun is directly in line with the equator. This will happen at 5:58pm Eastern time on Wednesday 3/20.

Not only is today spring equinox, it also happens to be the third and final super-full-moon of 2019! If you're interested in learning more about the astrological meaning of this unusual event, head on over to ELLE's Astro Twins article

At HGO we welcome the beginning of spring! We love the changes of warmer weather, flowers blooming and the BEES ARE BUZZING🐝💗🐝

We hope you enjoy these gorgeous pictures from our Honey Girl photographer Angelina Hills Ribet over on Maui. She captured the Cherry Blossoms in full bloom at the Kula Country Farm.
